"Well behaved women seldom make history"

My career and interest in gerontology were born out of my experience working as a nursing assistant the summer following my freshman year at Ohio University. I knew from that experience that there had to be a better way to care for older adults. After graduation I earned my Nursing Home Administrator’s license and went on to practice nursing home administration in Milan and Sandusky and operate an adult day service in Norwalk, Ohio.

As the Founding Executive Director of Serving Our Seniors, I have been extremely fortunate to have strong community and political support for our efforts to establish Erie County Ohio as a compassionate and caring community for older adults to maintain their independence.
